Sagine Bredy 4/16/14 English 109 Argumentation Essay 2 Life is Unfair In society today, individuals are abuse in different ways because of jealousy. Life was not designed for those who try once then give up but instead it's more suited for persistent people who keep trying until they get what they want. Is life unfair? Life is very unfair. Individuals are treated unfairly by being overworked, trapped, and nearly killed out of jealousy. In Tales of Wonder from Many Lands, individuals are treated unfairly by being overworked. Individuals are forced excessively to work hard and be exhausted after a long day. In “The Black Cloth”, Aiwa was a young girl that have been abuse with so many work given by her stepmother. Before the roosters were up, Aiwa was sent out in the stream to washed a black cloth until it turned white. She would get blisters from all the washing to get the cloth turned white. Aiwa’s life was unfair because her stepmother was jealous of her beauty that's why she overworked Aiwa as a slave. Like Aiwa in “The Black Cloth”, Cinderella in “Cinderella” was also overworked by her stepmother due to jealousy. The stepmother gave Cinderella a long list of chores to do in the house. When they got invited to the ball, Cinderella asked if she can go to the ball, but the stepmother would gave her excuses how she doesn't have the appropriate clothes to go. Consequently, the stepmother gave Cinderella another list of chores to do before she went to the ball with her stepdaughters. Cinderella life was unfair because her stepmother gave her excuses of not having the proper attire to got the ball and overload with so many chores. In Tales of Wonder from Many Lands, individuals are treated unfairly by being trapped. Individuals in this group tend to not get what they want because of their loved ones insecurities.
