Life is a Rollercoaster The past couple years of my life have been intense. Along with starting school, I’ve also been going through a series of medical tests to determine a diagnosis for my stomach. My grandma passed away two weeks ago and a really good friend just passed today. On top of everything, I have an active two year old son at home whom I’ve recently began to potty train. My son is my life. He brightens my day regardless of how much stress surrounds me. The best part of my day is when I walk in the door from school and he’s right there waiting to greet me. His long eyelashes and adorable dimples melt my heart instantly. At the end of the day, I’m reminded of the unconditional love between him and I. Although I don’t see my mom and grandpa everyday, I wear a silver necklace around my neck. Dangling freely from the necklace are two charms. The cross with a diamond in the middle was a Christmas gift from gramps. Next to the cross is a heart shaped charm from my mom that reads “#1 Daughter”. I keep my necklace on at all times so I can always keep them close to my heart. I would love to get away for a short time to clear my head. I believe that everyone deserves a break from everyday life whether it be camping or vacationing in Italy. Italy is a country that I’ve always wanted to travel to. Italy is famous for its authentic Italian foods and beautiful historical landmarks. Although I realize vacationing in Italy is a distant dream for now, I still fantasize about enjoying their incredible dishes and touring the beautiful streets. Even though these past few months have been a rollercoaster, I’ve learned a lot. Life is short and should never be taken for granted.
