Shaun White is in a class of his own sweeping the winter X-Games and Olympics for years on end in first place. There are different varieties of snowboarders from the cautious riders, the intermediate boarders, the all out flyers, and the professionals. It’s not easy to be classified a good snowboarder, few have made their mark and even fewer will be remembered by name. As a diehard snowboarder myself, I will take pleasure in writing this paper and defining each of the four categories listed above. Barreling down a mountain, after perfecting the half-pipe
In the hockey passage written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, a hockey virgin recreates his first experience with the exhilarating sport. He discovers that hockey is not only a physically demanding sport, but also that it is a sport that retains reason as well as meaning. Ender thus earns many enemies from the start, but ends up finding a friend, Shen alongside with Alai who he meets in the battleroom, where wargames are simulated. Their alliance leads to battleroom proficiency that is respected, so Alai becomes the boys' new favorite. Apart from their time in the battleroom, the boys play the "Fantasy game," which adapts as the players develop. A symbol is an object that represents an idea, and the snowman in To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the major symbols discussed. One day in Maycomb, it snows, but not a lot. Jem and his younger sister, Scout, decide to make a snowman. This snowman is a symbol for many different reasons and they all end up with the topic of racism. The three main characters are Tub, Kenny, and Frank.
Harper also uses the actions of the children symbolically. One example is the snowman that Scout and Jem built one winter. As they couldn’t make the entirety of the snowman from snow, Jem built the majority of it using dirt, and then covered it with the small amount of snow they collected. There are various meanings to this. Through the covering up of the black snowman to become white, Harper conveys the fact that beneath the surface, all human beings are equal and the same.

It is will represented within the symbols relating to the strong emphasis of the ladder, the portrayal of the genders, and the knife, camera, and book of myths. ! The ladder is used as a symbol to represent the beginning of a journey for you, and you alone. “Hanging innocently” (15), “the ladder is always there” (14) gives the impression that the grand adventure for self-discovery is always present for anyone to grasp onto. However, ladders are typically only meant for one person to use at a time, so the journey must be done alone.
