Life at the Zoo “More than 150 million people a year visit zoos and aquariums in the US,” according to the New York Times. If it were up to me, I would spend the rest of my life at the zoo to interact with different animals and see the bigger picture in life than just the problems. In my opinion, others should commit to this as well to explore new aspects of life. The first reason I would prefer living at the zoo is because of how fascinating animals are. One could never experience a dull moment when spending time with the various animals. One can interact with family, friends, and even other people coming in and out of the zoo, and possibly teach them new facts about animals while watching the fascinated looks on their faces. Each animal is different in their own way and the diversity we have on this planet is quite amazing. Being with all the different animals will teach humans the true essence of life and make one realize that there is more to life than what is commonly known. Even though animals can be very different than humans and less advanced, we are still the same in many ways. We both have emotions and sympathy towards others. Animals understand the passions of humans and they return the love in the same way it is given. Every now and then, other people can be very hurtful and judging towards each other because of society standards. As it seems to us, animals have no type of hatred towards others. According to where we stand in society, they only show love. Animals are mistreated on a daily basis and as a community of kind-hearted people, there needs to be a change. The zoo is a place where an animal could be loved and taken care of rather than being abused by selfish people.
