Lady Capulet comes to see if Juliet is awake. She ask if Juliet will cry for her about it. Juliet says she will for a great loss. Lady said that the weeping is not for his death as long as the man who killed him is still out there. Juliet to get her mother not knowing about Romeo talks against him.
While Juliet was lamenting over Tybalt’s death and Romeo’s banishment, the Nurse told Juliet to “hie to [her] chamber. [That she would] find Romeo [so that he could] comfort [her during her hour of forlornness] ”(III.2.150-151). The Nurse told Juliet to go to her room, that she would go and find Romeo only so he could try and make her feel better. Romeo had murdered Tybalt in cold blood, yet the Nurse still let him see her even though that was a rather temerarious thing to do. Juliet’s caretaker was unbothered to tell Lord and Lady Capulet about the relationship going on between Romeo and Juliet.
She tells these lies to protect herself from social ostracism. By nature she doesn’t fit the social stereotype of a woman. Being the perfect wife during this time was to be proper, unintelligent, compliant, in need of male protection and only of value as decoration, and as a homemaker and child-barer. On the other hand, her sister Stella is characterised as Blanche’s polar opposite fits the social stereotype of the perfect housewife. She lies about her husband’s vulgar behaviour and justifies it through clichés.
Firstly, Friar Laurence married Romeo and Juliet knowing that their families hated each other and that it could end very poorly (Shakespeare 944-45). Friar knew this was a bad idea, but he continued with it and married the two. However, if he did not do this he would never be in trouble and Romeo and Juliet would then have to get married the ordinary way, thus, letting both families know. Next Friar decides to give Juliet a vial which will put her in a death-like state and sends a letter to Romeo about the plan, but it does not get to him (Shakespeare 993-1012). If Friar Laurence did not give Juliet the vial, Romeo would not kill himself because he thinks Juliet is dead.
She thought that herself was the problem, which made T rye aggressive and it was her fault not T-rays. So lilies faction was to improve it by leaving her dad and taking the only person who respected her Roselyn.. Rosalyn was alway a motherly figure to her worrying about her need and never let T rye effect her negatively But she knew lilys consequences (CD). Her dads sympathy for hus daughter is very minimal because she lie is becoming rality that she was the on that mad ehis wife and lilys mom leave/die. Lilys has many influences but the strongest pushed her to leave her home and wanted her to find her own way in life because she wasn't gonna deal with her dads abuse. Lily wants to be a writer, and has this fascination with bees.
Dramatic irony is used as the audience know that this is already her second drink therefore contradicting herself. As Blanche also uses the word ‘limit’ this suggests that Blanche has been told in the past to keep to a ‘limit’ , as she even lies to her sister suggesting she cannot control the alcohol problem as she has to lie to those closest to her. However in my opinion it is more than an alcohol problem that has led to her overall downfall. Blanche’s life has always been involved with male influences and in the 1940’s when the play was written men had a huge influence on woman. It’s only in today’s society where woman have finally started to become equal in comparison to the 1940’s play.
Characters Flaws and Weaknesses Strength for Romeo and Juliet-Thinking to themselves they still have a lot of time to be together because it was night and not in the morning.”It was the nightingale and not the lark “ Weakness for Juliet-She’s a weak character because she’s crying.”Yet let me weep for such a feeling loss” Foreshadowing Romeo’s Death-Because Tybalts dead its basically saying he’s going to join him where all the dead people are.“That he shall soon keep Tybalt Company” Strength for Juliet-She told her mum that she isn’t going to marry Paris and the next person she marries will be Romeo.””I pray you tell my lord and father, madam, I will not marry yet, and when I do, I swear it shall be Romeo” Strength for Capulet-Capulet is Superior and demanding because he’s telling Juliet what she should be doing”I tell thee what: get thee to church a’thursday, or never look me in the face” Strength for The nurse-The nurse sticks up for Juliet and defends her.”God in heaven bless her! You are to blame, my lord, to rate her so”. Strength for Friar Lawrence-He’s showing that he cares for Juliet by calling her daughter even though she isn’t his daughter.”Hold, daughter”.The word ‘daughter’ shows that he cares about her and would protect her just how a dad would protect her daughter. Weakness and Strength for Capulet-Capulet is an aggressive character and uses a lot of harsh words, this could be a strength because he could get people to listen to him and do things but this could also be a weakness because he could do something like make someone commit suicide or upset.”Hang thee young baggage, disobedient wretch!” Strength for Juliet Foreshadows-Juliet isn’t giving up and is refusing to marry Paris; she says she’d rather die than marry him. Juliet also anticipates her tragedy’s outcome.”Delay this marriage for a month, a week, or if you do not, make the bridal
Once he grants Psyche her desire to see her sisters, they plant evil thoughts and her head and raise certain questions, which make Psyche skeptical. She begins to question her love and lets others opinion get the best of her. I don’t understand why she just couldn’t continue living the life she loved along with the man she loved. Subsequently, to the aforementioned I am able to include Propp’s trickery function into the story. Psyche was not only tricked by Venus, the villain, but also by her sisters.
However, then Romeo appears and everything she was contemplating goes out the window without a second thought. This demonstrates that her affection for the Montague is more influential in her decisions than the love for her family. We are again shown this when the nurse asks Juliet “Will you speak well of him that killed your cousin?” and the wife of a few
It is represented that both Kent and Cordelia received unfair punishment. Alternatively, Goneril and Regan deserve the treatments that they get. Therefore the theme of justice is illustrated by the performance of Kent, the Fool, King Lear and also his three daughters Due to old age, Lear decides to step down from the throne and separate his kingdom consistently among his three daughters; he puts his daughters through a test, asking each daughter to tell him how much she loves him. The flattering response given from Regan and Goneril to their farther was false, Kent suspected they were up to no good and informed the King of their wrong doing; by being honest to
