Lie detector test is the physiological reaction of a person to questions asked by a testing expert. This is not very efficient as there can be differences or biases in the results due to moods of the person being tested making the test inefficient. Through this paper it will be evident that the lie detection tests are only accurate 50% of the times and even then can be biased depending on the mood and feelings of the people being tested on. The article on thermal imaging (Warmelink, 2011) tells us that the lie detection technique can be used even in the airports in order to predict the passengers that might be using the flight services to cause trouble or be terrorists in disguise. When someone lies their body temperature tends to increase and there are also other physical responses that the passengers engage in that help the testers find that the passenger is lying. This article tells us that thermal cameras can be used to study the body temperatures of the passengers because this is what is used to see whether the passenger is lying. This could be a very important technological advancement in the lie detection tests as it can be used as a weapon against the troublemakers. However, every test in lie detection comes with its own drawbacks and in this case the test might not be successful due to a variety of reasons. Firstly, the passenger being tested might be boarding a flight for the first time and therefore might be anxious about the trip. This might be a factor that might have increased their body temperature from the start and therefore it might put the results of the test at question. The passenger might also be going for a funeral or an important business meeting and therefore this might lead to him being tensed up. This would gradually increase the passenger’s body temperature as he gets more tensed when he finds out that he is being tested. This
