In his ten years with the NBA, LeBron has won two back-to-back NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, two NBA Finals MVP Awards, two Olympic gold medals, a NBA scoring title, and the NBA “Rookie of the Year Award”. These achievements are extremely impressive, but there is still a lot of controversy towards LeBron. What makes LeBron James such an interesting player to discuss? The Heat won the series and went on to the NBA Finals to face LeBron’s good friend Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Both Durant and LeBron did not have a championship at this time, which made it even more of a competition to win a championship. In game four, LeBron was taken off the court because he was experiencing leg cramps with five minutes left on the clock. Even then, noticing his team needed him LeBron stumbled back on the court and shot his last 3 pointer of the night in order to take the lead and win the game. In game five, he had his first triple double of the post season to help take the series and his first NBA Championship. LeBron James was awarded Finals MVP and averaged 30.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assist per game in the playoffs. Throughout the 2012/2013 season, LeBron James averaged a phenomenal 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 7.3 assist per game. During the play offs, they faced the spurs and it led to a seven game series. Lebron put up 37 points to tie for the most points in NBA finals game seven history, they got the win along with another championship ring for the second straight year. From Watching Lebron James growing up, I have seen many of his accomplishments along with everyone else watching him strive for greatness.
