One of the many races that migrated to the United States is the Vietnamese race. After the fall of Saigon, Vietnamese refugees have fled their homeland to seek for a better life. Now, 30 years later, they have become an industry of their own. According to the latest census, there are approximately 1.2 million Vietnamese Americans living in the United States. This makes Vietnamese Americans the fifth largest immigrant group in the United States , right after the Mexican, Filipino, Chinese, and Indian foreign-born (Lehman, 2000).
Rome’s Creation of a Mediterranean Empire, 753 B.C.E. – 330 C.E. Rome’s central location contributed to its success in unifying first Italy and then all the lands ringing the Mediterranean Sea. The Tiber River on one side and a double ring of seven hills on the other afforded natural protection to the site.

United States of America This is a nation built by people who came from somewhere else almost all with the same purpose-to better themselves. To a newcomer, perhaps the most striking feature of the country is its size. It is the world’s fourth largest nation. The distance between Boston and San Francisco is greater than the distance between Paris and Baghdad. I think America’s vastness has been crucial in luring people from abroad and in shaping American attitudes and aspirations.
