All I needed was some time off this destructed relationship that for some reason it was hard to let go of and some time off school. I found myself in a deep hole when I caught myself doing homework an hour before the due time or taking test where I would score as if I took it blindfolded. I lost myself. Weeks and weeks I tried to set a mental plan to attempt to get on track but each week I lost focus. My second semester I left with a great GPA of a 3.4 and to be off course because of some meaningless guy was absurd.
Of course you’re going to get teased, picked on, and called stupid. Not saying it’s right, but you control your own destiny. Meaning you control the work you do because you do it and turn it in. Also being over age for their classes can result in dropping out. Studies show that students who are over-age for their class was held back a grade level.

Even if 5:00a.m. seems too early, I know that school is important for my future and also if I plan on doing that traveling while I’m in the military. I have bad days and I have good days, the bad days seem to outweigh the good days more than any but as long as I keep striving on harder than what I have been and those bad days will start looking up! My bad days are when I know my grades have dropped to where they shouldn’t be and I get mad at myself for letting them slip into that dark place of failing grades. My parents push me to be the best that I can be, which sometimes I don’t care what they are saying, don’t they understand that 9th grade is hard?
Combs describe his own success or many student’s real world experience perhaps a chapter on majoring in the success with your dysfunctional family, enormous student loan, drugged-out roommate and relationship issues. Instead, Mr. Combs supplies his readers with 154 pages detailing and expanding on a single maxim: figure out what you want to do it life, and do it. Major in Success has some major flaws as well as some great advice. The less there is a great deal to be gathered from Major in Success, but probably not in the manner Mr. Combs planned. Some great lessons can be learned from understanding not just what is in the book, but what it is that makes the book successful, despite its shortcomings.
Many teachers do not like “catching plagiarists and bringing them to academic justice.” As she states, it is not hard to just cite the author that originally had the information you are using (Bojar). Plagiarism is becoming a big problem in the school system. Many students do not understand what needs to be cited and what does not. The school system should teach students the proper way to cite, and they should teach them that copy and pasting is not writing a paper. There is a whole new curriculum, much harder than a high school one, and for most people their first time living on their own. One must learn more material in a shorter length of time from difficult assignments that will require a majority of one’s leisure time. Sickness and school is what has gotten me to my mental state.
