It was first known as “Huff Daland Dusters, Inc.,” which was an aerial crop dusting company that was started in Macon Georgia. One of the innovative directors of the company, Collett E. Woolman, renamed it “Delta Air Service” when it began to carry passengers. It has now developed into one of the leading airline companies. Since the early 1920’s to the present day, Delta Air Lines has transformed from the crop duster plane that carried one passenger to commercial planes that carry thousands of people a day. Delta Air Lines headquarters in located in Atlanta, Georgia at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It has been the headquarters since 1941. Before that its corporate office was in Louisiana. Also at the Atlanta location you will find the Delta TechOps which is the airlines main place to get all maintenance and repairs done to their planes. Along with Atlanta being the main hub for the company, it also has seven domestic hubs and three international hubs. Having about 5,000 flights a day and over 80,000 employees, there is one person that overseas all the operations and that would be the CEO of the company, Richard H. Anderson. He
