Leadership Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. Leaders carry out this process by applying their leadership attributes, such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, knowledge and skill. Not everyone is a natural born leader. Although they are some out there, I believe that good, quality leadership is learned from another leader. There are many different leadership tactics; some are good and some are bad. There is also ineffective leadership. This is when their leadership no matter what is tried does not get through and sink in to the persons head. Bad Leadership Some people that are put into roles that require them to lead a number of people do not know how to communicate effectively. With effective communication, the “troops” are lost and have no direction. Another sign of bad leadership is forcefulness. Being to forceful with the power that one has can result in outburst from the “troops” and lead to them rebelling, and if this happens then there is no stabilization; without sense of stability any organization will fail, and cease to exist. Quality Leadership Quality leadership is an essential part of success to any organization. Good Leaders are not born, they are made. When a young protégé is studying under the wing of his predecessor, the young jedi is supposed to be learning as much as possible and preparing him for the future of hold key leadership positions. A leader with a vision has a clear and vivid picturesque idea of where to go, as well as a firm grasp of what success looks like. Visions alone are not enough though; goods leaders’ need to learn when and how to act upon those visions; and how to communicate his vision to his employees and co-workers. Integrity is the integration of outward actions and inner values.
