Creating a Plan for Positive Influence Kathy Crabtree LDR/531 January 10, 2012 Gary Grubb Positive Influence Plan Team Z has been chosen by upper management, to tackle a project that management believes can be done in a professional manner and within the short time requirements. Team Z has 16 field employees, a lead field employee, and field manager. In the past, Team Z has their issues among themselves that they have worked out their differences and achieved high stats to keep the small company on top of their industry. Management has given Team Z a few guidelines, suggestions, or plan of action to help in keep members working together. All the employees were working efficiently and productively. From the outside all the employees seemed to be satisfied in their performance, but the snag was really they were getting stagnant and not very satisfied in the job. The manager is seeing how down all the employees are and calls a meeting with him or her. The manager asks that all of them bring their results back so that they can review them. The manager also brings the meeting minutes from when they first meet and set up how they wanted this project to go what he or she expected and wanted out of it. The manager now sees that the group has forgotten what each member’s personalities were and what made each of them work well together. Managers can use the personality test in selecting their team members can use it to help get a diverse group that will mesh and work together. When the manager and the employees are on the same page on how thinks can work than the environment for the work will be satisfying for all the employees involved. When employees are satisfied in their work, they will be more productive and work out any differences that may arise if they all are aware of each individual’s weaknesses and strengths. Being aware of strengths and weaknesses along with all your teammates will allow an individual to know how to interact with each member and be satisfied in the job that they are doing.
