The focus is on identifying what are changes in the concept of Marriage from ancient till the modern time, whether legislations affecting personal laws have retained the ancient character. Effect of law and how it transformed the society is attempted thorough this study. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The methodology adopted is largely analytical and descriptive.
