Intrinsic motivation is doing something interesting, enjoyable, the learning t permits, or the feelings of accomplish it evokes. Extrinsic motivation is doing something because it leads to a separable outcome, in order to obtain some reward, or avoid punishment. Some of the challenges that students in an online learning environment face that are different compared to students at traditional institutions are the way you learn. Like in traditional institutions of you have a problem or question you raise your hand and a teacher is there to help you. With online learning if you have a question you can’t raise your hand, you have to send an email and wait for a reply.
These are differences in understanding, perception, attitudes, or preferred action. Yet one of the key advantages of working in groups and teams is the opportunity to capitalize on the multiple perspectives that group and team members have (Beebe & Masterson, 2006). An examination of the faculty profiles provided me with an indication that although there are some teachers with innovative ideas, many teachers carry a groupthink mentality. Groupthink is described as a means of deliberating what group members use when their desire for unanimity overrides their motivation to assess all available plans of action (West & Turner, 2004). Some student profiles created by faculty members contain information that could be called into question because of biases and stereotyping.
* Show it to others and ask for suggestions. * Step 1: Prewriting Think * Decide on a topic to write about. * Consider who will read or listen to your written work. * Brainstorm ideas about the subject. * List places where you can research information.
While planning you have to obtain as many details about the piece of work you are doing to enable you to produce your work as efficiently as possible. You can write your plans down on a to-do list - Writing down everything has two purposes. Firstly, you are planning your job and the tools you need. Secondly, you are making a written account of your job for others to see. In this way, if you are asked what you have done at any time, you can show it to them and be accountable for your own work.
If one team player is not contributing to the rest of the team they are more likely to lose the game. This is also true with families and work environments. People that use teamwork are effective and have good time management skills. According to The American Psychological Association group productivity can be enhanced by structuring team discussions, promoting a cooperative team environment, highlighting team members’ skills and knowledge, and to focus on communicating new and unique information. Teamwork can be done with sharing of information and also with education.

For example what makes for stimulated learning for an adolescent may not satisfy the needs of an adult learner whose frame of reference has been developed by lifetime experiences. (Gravels 2008, Page 9) ‘Learning should be fun, enjoyable and challenging to the learner.’ One key element of my role, and indeed a responsibility which will ensure a professional approach will be for me to focus on continuous professional development by way of reflective practices and maintaining a reflective journal for that purpose. I have previously and would continue to monitor my own performance and seek feedback from my peers regarding my teaching styles. To enable me to carry out the role of trainer in an effective manner it is important that I possess the relevant subject knowledge to enable me to facilitate and share that knowledge with students in an engaging way. That means I personally have to research it, plan the session and design the materials, adapting the content and level of the knowledge to the learners’ requirements and varied learning preferences.
Another student may not learn material well without having a hands on activity. Teachers need to use creativity to come up with ways so all students learn as much as they can. My second item is patience. As mentioned, teachers have the opportunity to work with many different students. Some students are smart and learn quickly, some are average, and some may need a little extra help.
Another advantage of self directed learning is that the learner can choose the learning content. In the case of the HR trainer, the learner can select the content of what is learned in relation to what is necessary in becoming a trainer. This individual may already have some knowledge of basic information, but may need training in other areas. By being able to select the content of the training, learners demonstrate a greater awareness to make the learning meaningful. A great advantage for the company is that is that the training costs are substantially reduced due to fewer trainers necessary, the elimination of training facilities, and travel cost.
After one has completed the prewriting process they should begin developing their thesis statement. This is accomplished by grouping related ideas and evaluating those groupings. There is also still time do additional prewriting in order to fill any gaps or add more sustenance to the material. The writer will also need to write his/her thesis statement and decide where to place that statement within the essay. Once they are done developing a thesis it still needs to be supported with relevant evidence.
