Soon, it was time for Jackson and me to go back to our hotel for a few days before coming back to Washington. “That was actually fun. I’m glad we did this!” I said to Jackson as we walked off campus. “So am I,” He told me. We spent our last few days lounging around the hotel and exploring more of New Orleans.
For example, I ate my dinner before 7PM, finished my homework before 11PM, and turned off my computer by 12:30AM. After increasing my goal I had a good amount of sleeping, which was 7 hours per night. Because I had completed my goal in week two, I bought myself a new pair of headphones. The brochure attracted our attention so much that we decided in that minute to purchase tickets to Las Vegas. Before we went to Las Vegas, we did not expect that this trip was going to be one of the most exhilarating family vacations we have ever had. We already felt very excited the night before and when we arrived at Las Vegas. It felt so electrifying to imagine the place from the brochure that created wonder and fantasy in my mind. When we the time we arrived, we were all amazed by the atmosphere in the airport.
I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait. I felt I was old enough now to handle myself if something occurred again. I started packing Friday night and called him the night before; we talked about the weekend ahead, the drive, and how we were going to stay at a hotel only five minutes from the zoo. Friday afternoon eventually came. It was around 7pm when he came to pick me up; he always used to beep the horn when he pulled up to the front of the house.
“Yes, I was at work at the time and didn’t come home until around 6:45 that night.” Harries nodded his head, “I see. What do you do exactly?” “I don’t see how this is relevant to the case.” “Just answer the question, please.” “Okay. I am a psychologist at the San Francisco Psychology Center. I work with children and the military.” Harries nodded, “And where exactly is this San Francisco Psychology Center?” “On Breeze Avenue.” “Where were you the night your daughter disappeared between 2 and 4 in the morning?” “Awake with my wife and daughter, waiting for Kylee to come home.” “Okay. The mother chimpanzees were the ones that were always with the babies holding them and cradling them. When I made my observations at McDonalds I noticed that most of the people that were with their children were the mothers. At the zoo, I noticed that the only ones interacting with the baby chimpanzees were the mothers. One great example of this was when the babies were hungry; I noticed how similar females are in the sense that both the chimp and the human had to nurse the baby in order to feed them. The only difference I noticed with this, was that the lady I observed nursed her baby with a blanket over her for privacy.
Fortunately I changed my mind and went back to school to finish the university. I studied Business Administration and I majored in Hotels Administration. After four years I completed the university and got my degree. One year before I
Graduation had come for the three of us! Christy, Jaime and I wanted to celebrate our accomplishment but knew we didn’t want to do it in Denver. We decided on Las Vegas.
