Las Vegas Springs Preserve When did you visit the Springs Preserve? I visited the Preserve Tuesday, September 30, 2008. How long did you spend at the Preserve? I was there from 12pm-3pm. So approximately around 3 hours. Was the Preserve easy to find? I needed to print out directions to find it or else I would have gotten lost. Could you tell you were near the Preserve before you arrived? Yes, it is much bigger than expected and can be seen from the street. Who was the architect(s)? Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects were the major contributors of the architecture done the Preserve. Luchessi Galati Architects Inc. and Paul Steelman Design Group also had some part with the architecture done as well. Who is the landscape architect(s)? E Group Who was the interior designer(s)? Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects When was it built? It was officially completed June 8, 2007 List all the programs/functions/activities housed at the Preserve: • Orientation Plaza/Park Tours • Origen Experience • Desert Living Center • Trails and Gardens • The Cienega • Springs Amphitheater • Children’s Playground • Nevada State Museam • New Frontier Arcade • Wolfgang Puck Café/Gift Shop • Concerts/Special Events Which exhibit was your favorite, and why? During my visit, my favorite exhibit was the Origen Experience because it was creatively designed, educational, and fun. The indoor theater and hands-on activities really drew my interest and made me want to learn more about the Preserve. Also, there were a lot of other activities and unique exhibits that really caught my eye and convinced me to take my time and see everything there was available be seen.
