Language is an important party all human beings life and can be examined by definition of a small group of words known as lexicons. In addition, the pithy expressions can be named as the glossary in a person’s mental state.

We use this to make our feelings and ideas known also to pass on news. Communication is one of the most important life skills, a large portion of what we do includes communication including everyday tasks. For example, sorting out problems, making friends and learning.
Outcome 1- understand why communication is important in an adult social care setting. 1.1- Identify different reasons why people communicate: There are many different reasons as to why people communicate. We communicate to express and share ideas on a topic,we communicate to show our feeling need and wishes and also our preferences. We have to also communicate to share and gain information while also getting to know one another. 1.2- Explain how effective communication affects all aspects of working in an adult social care setting: Effective communication can affect many aspects of work,effectively communicating can help build levels of trust,help recording and reporting incidents, aid participation and help with service provisions.
Aural/Auditory Learners: Spoken/Heard instructions facilitate learning for his type of individual. Lecture sessions, discussion groups, emails and recordings are devices that helps people with this learning preference to explore and discuss concepts with others and understand what works best for them in learning environments. Read/Write Learners: Learners who choose this preference learn best when they receive and return information as words. Communication may be penned or typed. The mechanisms of choice are PowerPoint, the Internet, dictionaries, text signs and written responses.
VARK is a magnificent tool online that simply helps identify the different types of learning styles that are out there and helps guide individuals in the right path as far as learning goes. VARK stands for Visual, Aural, Read/write, and last but not least Kinesthetic. Visual, Aural, and Read/write mean exactly what they say. These individuals learn best by doing just that. Visual learners need to see things in order to learn, aural learners are better when they hear the information, and reading/writing learners perform best reading information and writing it down.

As humans, we tend to take these signs and symbols for granted. We all need to learn what certain symbols mean, and how they can help us get through situations, or just the day ahead. Our own reflection about these meanings, contain symbolic thinking on many levels as well. We learn how to reflect upon these meanings, and how they can help us out spiritually and mentally. Even so, symbols can often be misunderstood.
Getting someone’s attention may need a loud, directed voice but a chat in confidence will need a quite low tone of voice. *Who you are communicating with. Your choice of language is important. A child may need simple words that are easy to understand. However an adult may find this condescending.
The rhetorical triangle was used when distinguishing between the audience, the issue, and the speaker. In the triangle, the speaker usually found ways to make himself sound credible and trustworthy. The speaker also strived to show their credibility by making an impression on an audience. In order to accomplish this, the speaker must be familiar with his audience and make the appropriate appeals to that audience to get their attention. This was important because without the interest of the audience, the point you were trying to get across was nearly useless.
