When given power, the power can usually take over a person. Power can be acquired different ways. The ways are money, education, fear, manipulation, or/and love. Power is important theme of this book. Every animal used a different way to get power. In the article, titled Pelosi warns bush shouldn’t ‘abuse power’ on troop escalation by Carla Marinucci, Chronicle Political Writer, it is revealed that the president’s plan of the war could not be stopped by anyone, and he was warned may times to think of the best for the world by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As a result, he is abusing his power and not thinking of tomorrow but of today. In the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, to represent how bush abuse his power as President Napoleon was created, to represent how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warns bush to think about is actions snowball was created.
In the novel, the animals represent different things. Napoleon represents Bush. Bush was the president of the United States, and napoleon was the leader of Animal Farm. To get to power bush made promises and manipulated many people to vote for him. Napoleon made promises, manipulated, scarred, and ran out the competition. When their power was at its peak, they believed that nothing could stop them. Snowball represents Nancy. Nancy was the speaker for the House of Representatives; she works under Bush. Snowball was the brain for most of the operation; she worked under napoleon. When you look at these all you see is everyone else’s problem in front of theirs.
Most animals have a power of their own. Both Napoleon and Squealer use their powerful their own personal gain. To get to power both of the animals used manipulation and corruption. The higher the knowledge, the higher the power and the pigs had both. Napoleon was the leader and always over powered the others. It was slightly true.
