Science Lab Report A 8 Nyfa Al Issa Mrs Nida Which Metal Is The Best Conductor Of Electricity? Introduction: My group and I are trying to figure out which metal between Manganim, Zinc and Nichrome is the best at conducting electricity. We show our results and experiments below. Our Experiment Question: All metals are conductors of electricity, but which metal between Zinc, Nichrome and Manganim is the best at conducting electricity? Aim Of Experiment: To know which metal between Zinc, Nichrome and Manganim is the best conductor of electricity. Hypothesis: If we test Zinc, Nichrome and Manganim for the conductivity of electricity then the Nichrome will show the highest voltage because it has the least resistance between the three metals. Independent Variable: The type of metal. Dependent Variable: The conductivity of the metals. Control Variables: * Battery (1.5V) * Length of metal (15cm) * Light bulb (1.5V) * Wires (3 wires) * Multimeter (20V) Materials: * Battery (1) * Wires with alligator clips (3) * Light bulb (1) * Multimeter (1) * Nichrome (15cm) * Zinc (15cm) * Manganim (15cm) -MULTIMETER -MULTIMETER Diagram Of Setup: - LIGHT BULB -METAL Safety Precautions: 1. Use an insulating surface. 2. Use and insulator on the wires (rubber). 3. Do not wear anything metal that can conduct electricity (watches, bracelets) 4. Tie your hair up. 5. Pull up your sleeves. Procedure: 1. Set up your circuit board that you will use to test your metals. You will need three pieces of wire with an alligator clip at each end. 2. Attach one clip of the wire to the (-) battery terminal by clipping the alligator clip securely to the terminal. 3.
