Explain what reflective practice is (1.1.1) Reflective practice is the process of looking back on what you have done or a task you have completed and evaluating whether you have completed the task correctly or if you could make positive changes. 2. Explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided (1.1.2) It is important to use reflective practise in the care setting as it will help to improve the quality of care. It will improve this as the carer will by continuously looking back and what they have already done and finding ways to improve this if necessary. It can also help others, carers can share their previous experiences with other carers which can help make positive changes to how they work. 3. Explain how standards inform reflective practice in adult social care (1.1.3) 4. Describe how own values, belief systems and experiences may affect working practice (1.1.4) Individual values, beliefs and experiences can affect the working practice as you may not agree with what someone else believes. A colleague or a resident may have a different culture, religion and way of living to what you do. This can affect working practise if a strong disagree takes place. 5. Explain how people may react and respond to receiving constructive feedback (2.2.1) Different people take constructive feedback in different ways. Some people listen carefully and take on board what has been said and they take the feedback in a positive way and use this to improve how they work.
