Kudler Fine Foods Problem Statement Kudler Fine Foods was established in 1998 when Kathy Kudler fulfilled her vision of establishing her own gourmet food store (University of Phoenix, 2010). Kathy currently own three stores and one of the stores is not doing to good. Kudler Fine Foods have many issues and problems which need to be fixed for the company to be successful. Kathy have a good strategic plan for her company but some things should be changed, such as adding employees, cutting the amount of wasted product and closing the store that is not doing so well. This paper will discuss, the problems at Kudler Fine Foods, how to fix the problems, what Kathy did for the company. After reviewing Kudler Fine Foods strategic plan I noticed many problems that the company is facing. Some of the problems could be fixed with a some work from Kathy. Some of the problems is that Kathy do not have enough managers on staff to assist her with the most important task that need to be done for the company. Kathy is taking on too much work alone and this could be very detrimental to her company if she does not do something about it now. Another problem is the perishable food Kathy is selling have a very short shelf life and if it is not sold by a certain date Kathy have to get rid of the product and the business is losing money. Some customers would stay away from the perishable items because the food does not last as long as most food. By being a speciality shop with high payroll Kathy do not have enough money to bring in the qualified people she need to work for her company (University of Phoenix, 2010). Kathy need to find a way to cut cost, if she do not find a way soon she can lose some of the employees she already have because they are not getting paid enough.
