The “King” vs. The Black Mamba Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, two of the best basketball players in the world. Both are talented all-stars who can score in bunches. The difference? Winning. Kobe Bryant is a better player than LeBron James because he is a proven winner. A ring rush of 5 championships, a compilation of game-winners, having the assassin mentality, leading by example, this is what gives Kobe the edge over LeBron. Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are both extremely gifted basketball players who possess the talent and athleticism, allowing them to be prosperous at their profession. First of all, Kobe Bryant holds the record for most three- pointers made with twelve in one game, on January 7th, 2003 vs. the Seattle SuperSonics. Hitting 12 threes is scoring 36 points from beyond the arc. For a shooting guard who isn’t known as a pure three point shooter like Ray Allen, or Rashard Lewis-- holding the record is an amazing accomplishment especially since Mr. Bryant had been 24 years old at the time. Especially for the past the two seasons, the Cavs were picked to at least get to the Finals. However, they fell short. Much of that responsibility has to be placed on their franchise player—LeBron. Although, it is easy to point the finger at the head coach, Mike Brown or the supporting cast, the fact is that the Cavs finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference the past two seasons—that doesn't happen with bad coaching and a poor supporting cast. At the end of the day, the best player is Kobe Bryant because he lead his team through the good and bad, and he helped lead the Lakers grab their 16th title against Boston.
