I personally would never even think about eating ants, dogs, cats and especially not raw monkey brains. I have eaten frog legs and would say that I probably wouldn’t eat them again. When we look at history and focus on recessions and depressions we can see how those cultural times have prohibited people from waste anything when it comes to food. They had a limited variety of food items and learned to make meals from whatever was available. Some southern people would consider wasting any part of the animal a crime.
When taken out of cages their bones are so fragile they tend to break. Male chicks are no value to the industry so they are killed at birth. Hens cages are stacked in rows on top of each other so thousands of birds can be housed together with approximately five to eleven birds in each cage. Their is not much human contact, Birds fall out of cages, get stuck between them and end up dying from having no access to food or water. With waste accumulating, ammonia can cause burns to the animals skin, eyes and respiratory tracts.
First off, I am not a vegetarian, I don’t support PETA, I’m not trying to change your life style, I’m not a hippie or tree hugger and I don’t even like animals as much as next guy, but we can never be ethical when it comes to killing, even if it’s for food. Whether or not we find it morally acceptable, we still support the process of killing animals. Some of us might not think about the food we eat, while others don’t care, but the animals are treated in the worst possible ways. In short animals are beaten, they have their throats cut, forced fed, drugged with antibiotics becoming over weight, butchered, stunned and skinned, while they are alive screaming of agony, just for of either for pleasure or for taste the animals go through hell because of it. Drugging animals is too costly.
The Animal rights movement never gained the momentum that it once had; therefore, Animals were never granted the rights equal to humans. The total deterioration of their rights can be seen through an observation made by Fiyero, regarding the Gale Force trying to constrain a group of Bears, “Below, because the Bears had not stood to join the line up, the soldier raised his cudgel and it came down on the skull of the cub” (Maguire 203). It was made very apparent that an innocent Animal could be battered for not complying with the orders of the humans. In conclusion, it can be seen that
Jameson instead “remain(s) quiet… and never raise(s) his head” (71). Mapes then hits him and he falls on the ground. Jameson looks up like a “little dog would look up to its mistress” (71) to see if anyone would possibly help him. If he was Mathu, he would have had the entire town jumping up in to his aid. Unfortunately, because of his cowardly presence, nobody “showed him (any) sympathy” (71).
This results in red imprints and cuts around their necks. The dogs often have only nubs for front or back legs, because of the many fights that break out . Dogs from puppy mills are often diagnosed with sicknesses such as respiratory infections and pneumonia, as well as hereditary defects. It is hard for animals to enjoy, or barely even tolerate conditions like these. People should also avoid buying their dogs at pet stores because most of the dogs there come from puppy mills.
“I guess, but we are so deep in the woods nobody could even live out here. We really should be more scared of a bear coming and eating us all!” David rationalized as he walked away behind the tent, hopefully to grab more marshmallows. “Unless there zombies!” I said laughing and taking the joke too far. “Shush, you hear that?” Keith said signaling for me to quiet. He has a terrified look stained on his face.
I did not wanted to be a place like that, so I ran away and took Gracie and Daisy with me. You send off the tracker; Moodoo, to find us. We travelled more than 1500 miles. I am not afraid of you and even though many is scared, I know they don’t have anything to be afraid of, because you know – you couldn’t even catch two small aboriginal girls. I know you tried to catch us, because all around in Australia our tale was told.
Lennie was very isolated also from the ranch workers because he wasn't normal and acted very childish, this mustn't of been nice for Lennie and that is how the ranch is unpleasent for him. Carlson made Candy's life on the ranch very hard because he depised Candy's smelly old dog, in the book Carlson kills the dog because it was old and it stank but he never cared about how Candy felt about the dog he just cared about himself. Carlson killed the dog eventhough he knew how much Candy loved it, when Carlson suggested killing the dog “Candy looked for help from face to face” but nobody helped him. The reason why Candy couldn't stop Carlson from killing his dog was because he was a very brittle old man and was mainly over powered by people stronger than him. This event was very unpleasent for Candy.
Sporting goods stores would be pointless if guns were banned because with guns banned there would be no hunting season. This would leave the stores to sell only camping and fishing equipment, if they ban guns it’s hard to tell fish hook may be next. There would be so many jobs lost. Not to mention the sporting clay resorts and gun traders. Some of these people shoot guns all the time but never go hunting and never intend to.
