We divide the trainees equally into four platoons, have them tag their personal bags, and load the bags on a truck. Once each platoon has accomplished this task it is time for that long walk to the company, “home” for the new Soldiers for the next ten weeks. The walk to the company was a little over a quarter of a mile from the drill pad that the trainees initially awaited our arrival. The trainees carry the duffel bag that contains all of their uniforms, boots, clothing, and personal hygiene items on their back for the walk to the barracks.

I am able to concentrate better if the television, computer, and cell phone are turned off. Another suggestion would be to use flash cards to help study and built up my vocabulary. I can get my friends and family involved and they may also be able to add some new words to their vocabulary. The third suggestion I will use is incorporating the new vocabulary words into daily conversations with friends and family. If I am having a conversation in person or by email, I will understand the meaning by using the words in my everyday life.

Even though we have been taught a thousand times before through trainings and information videos and pamphlets the first thing you should do is put on gloves, but as a teacher you grow a bond with the children in your class and after a while you think of them as your own, that combined with the responsibility to protect them at all times your first thought when they are in pain and injured is not to go rummaging around for gloves before tending to the injured child. This exact situation happened in my classroom a few weeks ago, and my reaction also was to grab the child without gloves. After I stopped the immediate gush of blood, I asked a co-worker to get me gloves. However, I realized my hands and arms were already covered with this child’s blood and I was fully exposed to any diseases this child may carry. Then I realized, I wasn’t aware of the medical history on this child, so how could I know if I was at any serious risk?

I will be using rhetoric in future classes and conversations. Rhetoric is an art of speaking or writing effectively using tools like pathos, logos, ethos and the use of other figures of speech, which I will continue to do in the future. An author can use rhetoric to persuade and inform an audience or to tell a story.

I use persuasive writing in several aspects of my life from business, to college, and even in my family life. In my professional life, I use persuasive writing to convince employees of the benefits of contributing to the company’s 401K plan, participating in the Education program, and enrolling in the Health Benefit program. By showing the employees in writing the benefits of each of these programs with facts to back up my suggestions, they are able to get a clear picture of how they would benefit from participating. During my education, I will use persuasive writing to create papers that will demonstrate my understanding of the subject being discussed, as well as to convince the professor that I have done research and that I am knowledgeable about the subject being discussed.
