The legend king Arthur was the first born son of king pendragon and heir to the throne.He was a british leader of the late 5th and early 6th centuries.Who led the defense of Britain agents the Anglo Saxons who invaded the country from their homeland in Denmark and north germany in the fifth and sixth centuries AD this was during the dark ages.Their was a wise magician called Merlin,who advised that none should know his real Identity and he should be raised in a secret place.Merlin's fear was in the right place,that when king Uther died there was a great fight over who should be the next king.Merlin used his magic to set a sword in a stone. Written on the sword in letters of gold ,"Who so pulls out this sword of this stone is the right wise born king of all England." None of the challengers for the throne who took their turn to pull out the sword succeeded. Arthur pulled out the sword by a coincidence for another to use in a tournament. After this he became king. He gathered knights around him and fought back against the Saxons who were slowly but for sure taking over the country. After many great battles and a huge victory at Mount Badon the Saxons spread came to an end. Arthur's headquarter was at a place called Camelot where he build a strong castle. His knights met at a round table and that's why they call them the knights of the Round Table. They rescued who needed them and fought evil. They also searched for a lost treasure, which they believed that would cure the ills. Queen Guinevere was king Arthur's beautiful wife. Unfortunately, after the country sated in peace things turned bad in the court of Camelot and civil war started. In the final battle at Camlan both Arthur and his unfaithful nephew, were wounded till death. Arthur was sent on a boat and floated to the isle of Avalon.
