He also was brought up in a broken household and so this harsh childhood scarred him. His genocide of the Jews was, in part revenge for his mother’s death at the hands of her Jewish doctor. If Hitler had not committed such atrocities, he could have been the most successful politician ever, dragging a slumping Germany from a great Depression into an economic boom. However, his love of war and hate of Jews among other passions corrupted his name forever. | Heinrich Himmler | October 7th 1900 | May 23rd 1945 (44) | Head of the SS-the police force in Germany | 8 | As the person who set up and controlled all Nazi concentration camps Himmler was evil. Further, he held very same anti-Semitic views as Hitler did, despite being brought up as a very strong Roman Catholic, but he was very jealous of Hitler. Hitler gave him more power, but he wanted his leader’s power. He did start to redeem himself near the very end of the war, however; after seeing that Germany could not win the war, he entered into secret peace talks with the Allies. Hitler was furious and stripped him of all power.
