The fact that not all thanes could be as courageous and have so many heroic achievements for their countries and rulers is why Beowulf seems so ideal and extraordinary. Beowulf's many achievements told throughout the story gives him the appearance of the most faithful of thanes, who has climbed the social ladder not because he has meant to do so, but because he wishes to protect his country and others and give all the credit to its rulers. This sort of behavior gives him a kind and generous nature that can be traced to a kind of chivalry. Chivalry can also be considered a very important role in the creation of a thane's reputation and popularity. Through Beowulf's chivalry, generosity, friendship, and popularity, all of his kingdom and of others knew him for his heroism and loyalty.

The entire Métis community took part in these hunts. The Red River carts essentially instituted the great buffalo hunts (Vrooman, 2003). Since the Métis lived on the settlements along the Red River, they had to travel a long distance to hunt, and without the Red River carts this would not be possible. The use of the Red River carts to and from these hunts increased the efficiency of transporting not only the Métis themselves, but also more hides and meat could be brought back home for food and materials. There have been many instances in history where large numbers of Métis people and Red River carts have been cited.
A good leader should know when to kneel down instead of trying to put everyone and everything under him. If Creon could have shown humbleness, generosity, and thoughtfulness he would have been a better leader who could have earned more respect and love from the citizens. Creon is to narrow minded and cannot appreciate problems from many different points of view. Creon’s weaknesses of excessive pride, cruelty and narrow vision eventually result in the death three innocent people and his terrible regret when he realizes that he has nothing left. Moreover, King Creon doesn't talk about the same types of gods and laws as his family and people.

De las Casas knew that it was incorrect to mistreat another human being, but no one else supported him. Bartolome used to have his own slaves, but he gave up that live style for a life with god and that’s when he started to think differently. The narrator later goes on explaining what should and should not be done towards Columbus. “My point is not that we must, in telling history, accuse, judge, condemn Columbus in absentia. It is too late for that…”, what the narrator is saying is that we should not feel betrayed from the actions of Columbus, but we should learn from them and prevent them from ever happening again.
They were not inventing anything new but reclaiming something ancient. This is why governments tend to fall apart, because people often want to come together freely and be themselves, rather then fit a mold that is presented for them. Hobbes foretold that it was a human condition that war fought by each against each, making it hard for anything good to come out of it, or learn

He doesn’t like to be the only one blamed as he shows here: “(with marked change of tone)… I thought that – for some reason best known to yourself - you were making the most of this tiny bit of information I could give you. I’m sorry. This makes a difference.” He shows that he does not mind if he doesn’t have to take full responsibility and says that it changes everything.
