Amazon.com is opening warehouses in Lebanon, Cleveland and Chattanooga, Tennessee. They do not want to collect Tennessee sales tax on items they sell to Tennesseans. Governor Haslam and members of the Tennessee Legislature have made several statements concerning this in the last few weeks. Some have said that they should be made to collect Tennessee sales taxes just like any other bookstore in Tennessee has to. You will need to do some research to find these recent news items. What do you think? Should they be required to collect sales taxes on Tennessee residents? 1. What should the state of Tennessee do in this case? 2.
