Junk Food Do you honestly think that banning junk food will prevent obesity in children? I really wish to that was rue, however, it’s not. I do respect people, who wish to ban junk food in schools, but I highly doubt it would be much of an impact. I’m not against nor do I support banning junk food in school. I know that banning junk food will not stop the obesity rates of children because children have ways to junk food. To begin with, students will find a way to get to junk food such as going to stores before and after school. Some high school students are known to go to cafes to buy coffees. Cafes are known to sell donuts, which I might add are quiet addicting, and student might by them along with their coffee. Some students go to stores after school. I, personally, go to the store to buy candy. Fast food restaurants are also a nemesis in children’s obesity. Majority of students, especially elementary children, love McDonalds. Not to mention, McDonalds also has breakfast hours, so higher grade level students will go to McDonalds too, though this makes them rather aggressive and crabby when they grow up to be adults. Back when I was in middle school, my sister would go to Coney Island and buy breakfast before heading off to school. Fast food restaurants also play a role in children’s obesity and will find a way into student’s life. Regardless if it’s banned in school, students will go to stores before or after school to get junk food. In addition, family and raising of the child is also a major effect of children’s obesity. Everyone views a child on how they’re raised at home, focusing on manners and behavior, but as well as eating habits and food. For example, some parents don’t watch what their children eat. Their children shoving loads of candy and sugary sweets down their throat. Family is one of the main ways that children get to junk food. For
