If it were not for being the oldest of 4 I might have not learned my leadership skills faster than others. Integrity means being trustworthy, reliable, and decent in our dealings with others. It means being true to ourselves. When we are guided by integrity our actions align with our principles; our thoughts and words are in sync with each other. It becomes the basis for our reputation as well as our self-esteem. Integrity does not mean being perfect, but rather having high moral principles and being trusted in our actions as well as our words.
My interpersonal skills have all been sharpened because of this endeavor. As a leader, I also have a better understanding for using the strengths of those willing to help and I’ve learned of the necessity of listening to others. I feel that a cheerleader should be able to influence others with a strong school spirit as well as address any emotional needs in case problems may occur within the team. Education is also very important; I participate on our school UIL team for Journalism and in my community as part of the Youth and Gospel choirs. I want to be a positive role model to all the young children in our community, and show them that if you set your mind to do it you can achieve anything with hard work and dedication.
This has taught me discipline, determination and has given me self confidence. When I first moved to his school I saw prefects as something to aspire to and I think that I am a reliable and responsible student, who can aspire others in the same way. I try hard to come into school because year 11 is a really important year for me. In general I am a confident person. I feel it is really important to be confident as it can help you as you grow up.
