JULIUS CEASAR Julius Ceasar was born in 100 BCE in Rome. Ceasar is an important because he done good work as the leader of Rome. Ceasar is a hero to many people and also was feared by many too. Ceasar was important to certain people who were mostly poor because he expanded the senate, created jobs for the poor, started colonies for people who didn’t own land so they can have land and he also increased the pay of soldiers. Ceasar was feared by most people because he went through wars like it was water. They also feared that he would have to much power over the rich, letting the poor rise up in power. Before anything happened that made him big he started out as a small general. Then in time grew he became a popular general/military leader. After being a great leader he led his legion (army) to success by conquering all of Gaul. After conquering Gaul he won his men’s devotion and loyalty and also the loyalty of his people. After the battle of Gaul, he went into battle fighting his partner, Pompey. He won the battle against Pompey and his army. Julius Ceasar had many talents that helped him as a great leader. He had the talents of writing, political speaking and was a great soldier and general. During his years, by winning his people over by helping them, speaking to them and fighting for his people. His goal was to be the absolute ruler, person who has total power. After he accomplished his goal, he went on to grant Romans citizenships to many people, he expanded the senate, adding friends and supporters from other regions and creating a job for the poor and giving them unowned land. In his later year, he adopted a son, Octavian and taught him how to be a good soldier and general. While Ceasar was teaching his son how to be a great warrior, his friends and follow people plotted his death. After living in fears of Ceasar, a number of senators, led by Marcus
