In Julius Caesar, written by William Shakespeare, there are many differences in the main characters. Two of these characters are Brutus and Cassius. They both killed Caesar but Brutus did it because of his love for freedom, and he did it honorably for the people of Rome. Cassius, however, even though he is practical and shrewd he killed Caesar out of jealousy and does not care how it affects the people of Rome.
Cassius shares few qualities with Brutus. Cassius seems to care little for the Roman people, and instead acts to kill Caesar out of jealousy instead of honor. Caesar himself understood that Cassius was jealous of Caesar's power when he says that people like Cassius are "never at heart's ease / Whiles they behold a greater than themselves" (I, 2, ll. 208-209). Cassius shows his jealousy when he tells Brutus that Caesar is not a god because he has many flaws .one flaw he noticed was when him and Caesar were in the Tiber Caesar started drowning and Cassius had to help him to the bank "Caesar cried help me Cassius or I sink". Caesar did not know how to swim .Cassius said that while they were in Spain that Caesar cried like a little girl because he was sick and Cassius cant believe that some one with this many flaws could be the leader of Rome (. I, 2, l. 111) Cassius said that while they were in Spain that Caesar cried like a little girl because he was sick , Cassius cannot believe that someone with this many flaws could be the leader of Rome . Unlike Brutus, Cassius is unprincipled and scheming. Brutus was not sure if he wanted to join the conspiracy so Cassius went to great measures to show Brutus that he should do it .Cassius decided to write letters in different had writings and send them with other peoples names to show Brutus that many people want him to do this he main reason that Cassius wanted Brutus to join the conspiracy is because
