What is naturalism?
Naturalism is the belief that all that exists in the universe is physical, material matter. There is no soul. There is no Creator; there is evolution. And experiences like pain, pleasure, beauty, and a sense of self do not really exist. They are only physiological reactions.
For the naturalist, nature itself is sustaining(staying alive). Individuals view themselves as products of and participants in an observable, natural order. They believe that natural processes have a cause and effect, and effects may become causes for following natural processes. However, the natural world itself is seen both as "enough" and as all there is.
Along with the core beliefs of connection, and control, naturalists believe in an undesigned universe that developed naturally, without any "creator." Some naturalists also believe in "deep time," a way of interpreting human history as a small segment of the Earth's billions of years in existence.
naturalism teaches there is no higher authority, it deduces that mankind, creation, and individuals have no purpose in life.
Goals regarding life
I firmly believe that if one plans on being a successful person in society, setting goals is a very important step. Having goals not only gives you a clear focus on things, it also helps you to organize your plans by allowing you to give yourself time limits and boundaries. Athletics are very fun, and may help count towards a goal in life. Sports may be fun, but you need hard work to become good at it. There is a chance that one day I may be able to get a scholarship for college. Sports take up time, and at some points are hard, but it is all worth it in the end. Becoming a better athlete is a goal of mine, but there are goals more important and the next one is. In only having sports and not education it would be like
