In the evening we come down to the shore to drink our fill, and sleep, while it flows through the regions of the dark. It does not hold us, except we keep returning to its rich waters thirsty. We enter, willing to die, into the commonwealth of its joy. |[pic|Email This Poem to a Friend | |] | | | | | Where Once The Waters Of Your Face by Dylan Thomas Where once the waters of your face Spun
"Sandcastles" by Jesus Hardwell The setting of "Sandcastles" by Jesus Hardwell takes place in the summer of a remote crescent shaped beach. Three best friends ran, played, and explored, as they had nowhere else to be. When one thinks of a beach setting like this one, it brings about happy thoughts of relaxation, children laughing, playing in the surf and sand. When the boys run into a strange woman on a remote stretch of the beach, who has a darker plan for herself that day, the woman deceives the boys into helping her to ultimately end her life. The setting of the story is connected to theme loss of innocence.

The beginning of “The Swimmer” immediately sets the tone for the rest of the story, which is that the idyllic suburban America is fantasy, and underneath the façade there is isolation and unhappiness. Therein is described how a typical Sunday afternoon, everybody is lamenting the fact that they drank too much last night, and how one might hear it, “whispered by the parishioners leaving church, heard it
As a child I visited Florida every holiday and a year later my mother decided to move to Florida. My first time visiting Florida was so memorable we would visit family members and eat at different restaurants. A favorite place for me when I visited Florida was the getting my hair braided at the shop and going to the race track. I remember when we visited the race track Mr. Gerald Alston a famous singer treated me and my cousin our favorite place we enjoyed riding the race cars, playing games at the arcades. It was wonderful all the children were steering at us while we attended the race track with Mr. Alston; their parents were amazed at the singer spending time at the race track with kids in public.
