Point A) An interesting report by John Stossel on how government at all levels are criminalizing and regulating more and more. This points out how we by our vote are giving the government far too much power and how they are using their power to chip away at even the most basic of our rights. For so many things to be illegal and a crime to be committed, it becomes impossible for people to live without breaking the laws. This government is out of control, especially the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and local prosecutors trying to make a name for themselves. What happened to our freedom? What happened to this countries beliefs that any entrepreneur can make it? In an age when government officials are shutting down lemonade stands and harassing five-year-old kids for selling the classic American drink without a permit. The separation of government form people takes place gradually and so intensely. Each step is disguised as a temporary measure or associated with patriotic allegiance, or with real social purpose. The Nazis used crises and reforms are to occupy the people that they can not see the slow motion of the government growing. The pride of or country, with more and more bearing down from authority figures is surely a bad sign of things yet to come. Theres no way of arresting a innocent person and the only power government has on society is to crack down criminals. If there aren’t enough criminals, than it seems the government makes them. In the beginning of Hitlers regime in 1933, the Nazis didn't seem all that bad.
