I. Jim Morrison was an outstanding poet and a songwriter, whose strong lyrics, especially about the complexities of love, have touched many of peoples' hearts for the past fifty years, especially in "Love her madly," "Light my Fire," and "Moonlight Drive". A. Love Her Madly 1.) “Don't ya love her face Don't ya love her as she's walkin' out the door Like she did one thousand times before” (Morrison, Love, L.A.) a.) Jim is talking about a previous girlfriend that he loved that had break-up-make-up syndrome. 1."Don’t you love her as she's walking out the door, like she did one thousand times before?" These lyrics connect to the thesis statement, because Jim is discussing one of the hardships and complications that a lot of people have to deal with when they fall in love with someone. It doesn't always work out, and sometimes people get dumped. 2. This song connects to American society indefinitely. Almost everybody has been engaged in a complicated relationship and can relate to Jims words about "loving her face" and having her "walk out the door". It is proved that around forty to fifty percent of marriages end in a divorce, according to divorcerate.org. 2.) “All your love is gone So sing a lonely song Of a deep blue dream Seven horses seem to be on the mark” (Morrison, Love, L.A.) a.)
