Deportation, There is No Alternative “One-thousand four hundred illegal immigrants sneak into our country daily,” not even a twelve foot steel fence can keep these aliens out (Von Drehle, The Great Wall of America). As a consequence, not only American citizens but many other aspects of our nation are suffering from this which makes it one of the major social issues. This clearly shows illegal immigrants should immediately be deported from the nation. There are a variety of negative effects that prohibited immigrants put on our country including the occupation of our jobs, increase in crime rates, not paying any type of taxes, and helping out overpopulation; this is why deportation is the only alternative to aid the United States. Recently in Arizona, “if anyone looks suspicious to being a forbidden alien, cops can pull them over” (O’Leary, Time Magazine). If they do not hold a valid driver’s license or even identity papers, they will immediately be arrested. Also, “illegal immigrants have a high chance to participate in gangs” (Western Voices World News). Illegal gangs are responsible for eighty percent of all the violent crimes in our country, so with them contributing to the groups, they have an effect on the crime rates. In addition, “most criminals believe that illegal aliens are afraid to call the cops, so they are the victims” (Griffin, CQ Researcher). The illegals are petrified that the police will figure out that they are not citizens of the United States, and do not want to suffer the consequence of getting arrested or even deported back to their homeland. With illegal immigrants being pulled over by cops, participating in gangs, and even being easy prey for criminals, they are a reason why the crime rates have been increasing in our nation. Pursuing this further, the illegal aliens do not have or even pay taxes; therefore they are a drain to our economy. It has been said that, “Mexican’s in America send a total of billions of dollars out of the United States and back to Mexico each year” (Western Voices World News). This means that they have a huge impact on our overpopulation because there is a great deal of them roaming our country. Also, “the back door in our borders between Mexico is purposely left open by the government” (Western Voices World News). This is a straightforward entrance the United States. By closing that door and keeping a better look out on the border, less illegal settlers would come into our providence. In addition, “far more immigrants arrive in our nation illegally, then legally” (Benavidez, Defend Colorado Now).
