The main character of the book named Andrew ‘Ender’ Wiggin, went to Battle school (A specialized school for students to face and save the world from a group of aliens called ‘Buggers’) at the young age of six. They called this project to save the world from Buggers was ‘The Game’.
When he was just an infant, his father was out searching for food to keep his family nurtured, and he never returned to his home. Tyson’s mother seems to think that he was run over by buffalo, but no one knows for sure. It is bad enough that Tyson is an only child, but he has practically lived his life without a father figure. Ever since Tyson has been old enough to fend for his mother and himself, he has taken responsibility as the “man of the family”. He cries himself to sleep each and every night because he has no one to look up to in his life.
Most people in the novel aren’t very wealthy and don’t have the luxuries that they do. However, Amir’s father, Baba is wealthy and highly admired, and no one seems to question anything that Baba does or what they hear about him. No matter how broad the story is, they believe it. There was once a tale that he wrestled a bear and everyone seemed to believe it. Baba’s biggest admirer is his own son, Amir has always looked up to Baba and wanted him to care about him and love him.
I never had a chance to meet him, I always wonder what he looked like, I have never seen a picture of him, not grown anyways. There are some picture of him when he was younger but that’s it. I wish I could have had a chance to meet him and talk to him. His absence from my life really affected me. I never had a father figure and being a young boy at the reservation I really needed his advice.

Walt Whitman had very unique characteristics. He was a very isolated person. Even during his childhood he stayed apart from his family and spent most of his time at a newspaper editorial, or at an office where he got his first job. Walt was not thrilled about his family’s ties to the country and farmland, which he notably scorned in his letters to Abraham Leech (Folsom and Price 2). Whitman made every attempt possible to stay away from his family’s farm and to not become a farmer, which his father strongly pushed for (Folsom and Price 2).
He created two of the most respected pieces of art in human history, The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, both of which still maintain their credibility as masterpieces to this day. Da Vinci’s notebook also proved him to be a Renaissance man, he had many great ideas in various subjects including art, writing, anatomy and scientific design. Da Vinci’s notes show primitive ideas for inventions that wouldn’t be fully developed until centuries later. This flood of intelligence is what prevented a lot of his ideas from fully developing. Since da Vinci excelled in many subjects, he never had enough time in his life to completely focus on mastering one field in particular.
Even though he was in a club that was against wars, but he only stayed in theory and had no experiences about any of them. So when he received the draft to require him to join the army and fight in Vietnam War, he was lost, he couldn’t figure out what he should do. In that summer, he worked in a meatpacking store. Even thought it was not a war field, but it was similar to it—bloody with dead bodies everywhere everyday. He felt exhausted and sick living in this kind of environment and he thought he was too good to be a soldier, he said “certain blood was shredded for uncertain reason.” He wanted to take some time off.
Dill and Jem became curious about, their reclusive neighbor Boo Radley, that they made it their mission to get him to come out of his home. They try so many plans, but nothing draws him out of the house. However, over time, the children have formed a ghost like friendship with Boo Radley, and realize that he deserves to live in peace, so they leave him alone. While the
Wesley lives under the shadow of his brother Frank and as the story progresses he is slowly escaping it. However, despite Wesley’s wilted physique and lack of superiority in the Hayden family hierarchy, he possesses a great deal of moral virtue and mental strengths. First of all, Wesley’s leg injury leads to other factors to develop Wesley as a better and stronger man. In his life he goes through many obstacles, such as his failure to go to war, and thus becoming the underdog of the Hayden family. This is discovered when the patriarch, Julian Hayden, says to his son Wesley “Ever since the war…Ever since Frank came home in a uniform and you stayed home, you’ve been jealous” (118).
