Students’ signature: Date: 15-NOVEMBER-2013 Introduction Middle and late childhood was defined as the stage of children ranging from age 6 to 12 (Berk, 2010). During this stage, most children will graduate from their preschools and kindergardens to journey into their next phase—Primary Schools. Here, children will meet new teachers, make new friends and generally being exposed to a whole new level of societal norm as well as new experiences compared when they were in preschools. According to research, it is during this time that children will learn “in-the-book” knowledges and “out-of-book” experiences that are unique due to the influences from teachers as well as their friends (Berk, 2010). However, the aforementioned influences also will have an adverse effect on the growing children as well, ranging from being convinced to play truant from school, lured into bullying other students and fall into the sticky web of media masses.
