Shiva, the most highly regarded God is believed to be the destroyer. The concept of Brahma is depicted to be similar to the Christian Holy Trinity, where everything in the world is because of him, while other Gods work under him. Hinduism prosaic use refers to a road, channel, path or doctrine through which individuals must follow to fulfill their religious responsibility. With this, the religion is understood
The statement “I declare there is no god except God, and I declare that Muhammad is the messenger of God"(Qu ‘ran 3:191) is to be said with pure sincerity and great commitment. Some Muslims recite that statement 17 times every day. They are also required by The Qu 'ran to recite “May peace and the blessings of God be upon him” (Qu ‘ran Surah, chapter 13), to show respect to Muhammad. By the phrase “Muhammad is our messenger”, Muslims affirm that Muhammad is not to be considered divine. They look up to him as a role model for a husband, a father and a politician.
Above all other areas of dogma within Christianity, monotheism tops the list. Monotheism is the belief in one God who rules over all. This one God is the creator, and stabilizer of the universe we reside in. Christianity also believes in the Bible being the only set of scripture inspired by the word of God; Virgin Birth; martyrdom; the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; the second coming of Christ; the creation of the world through the one true God; life after death; Hell; Paradise after death; and the Holy Trinity. Above all of these dogmas, the faith in a one creator God who rules the universe is the most important.
He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, which ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord”. Islam and Christianity take a monotheistic (belief in one GOD) approach when it comes to religion. Muslims recognize Allah as the Creator and Christians recognize GOD as the Creator. Both religions believe that human beings have the ability (free will) to choose between good and evil. Another eye opener for me is that Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary and at the end of the world, Jesus Christ will come again.
Religions of the World What it means to be a Muslim? The Five Pillars of Islam are the fundamental beliefs that shape Muslim thought, deed, and society. They consist of the faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad, the establishment of the daily prayers, the concern for and almsgiving to the needy, self-purification through fasting, and the pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able. These five religious duties are expected of every Muslim and are mentioned individually throughout the Qur’an, the sacred text of Islam and the highest authority in both religious and legal matters. Also, Muhammad listed them together in the Hadith, which is a record of the words and deeds of the Prophet, his family, and his companions, when he was asked to define Islam.
According to Muslim belief, The Quran was given to the world by Prophet Muhammed, whom received divine revelations known as Sura’s. These were written down and checked by Muhammed (Watton) although we have no way of knowing the chronology. Tradition states that the Quran was checked by the angel ‘Jibreil’ before the completion of the Quran by Zayd Ibn Thabit. This ensured the divinity of the Quran. For this reason the Quran is the same across the entire Muslim world because any change would be considered to make it imperfect.
What is a monotheistic religion? A monotheistic religion is the belief in one god There is 3 main monotheistic religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Today I am going to be talking about only one of the monotheistic religions Islam and comparing it to one of the polytheistic religions Hinduism I will be talking about all the differences between Islam and Hinduism. In Islam god transcends beyond the limits of space, time and gender. Revelation god revealed his will and law to humanity through the Quran.
Reason being was that God said “No One is Righteous” The righteousness is given through faith. Gentiles and Jews have no difference between them for being have sinned and fell short of the glory of God and they are all justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Once we have been justified through the faith that the Romans believed they have peace with God and through whoever gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. Paul Stated also that man is decedent of Adam and all men are sinful. Sin is passed down from generation as well as death.
We were put here to take care of all things created by God. Both Christians and Muslims were given a woman to be fruitful and multiply keeping Gods creation of man on earth. Both religions teach it is better to help others then to always seek rewards for self. God will bless those who put others before themselves. Christians and Muslims believe all humans are born sinless, but human weakness leads to sin.
The four other pillars include, fasting (Saum), prayer (Salat), and pilgrimage (Hajj), alms-giving or charity (Zakat), Shahada is a declaration that is made by followers of the Islamic faith, which says, “there is no true God except Allah,” and also says that, “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Christianity and other religions whose bible teaches that God is part of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit); Islamic faith teaches that Allah is the one and only God. Muslims also firmly believe that Muhammad is Allah’s greatest prophet, and it is important that those who practice the Islamic acknowledge and recognize him as such. They also believe that Allah used Muhammad to convey the last and final revelation (Slick, 1995-2010). The second pillar, Salat (Prayer), is a prayer that consists of confessions of sins and concluding with purification of the soul.
