IS THERE LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS? Scientists are always researching and trying to find new sources of information of whether there is life on other planets outside of Earth. From what we know now, there are no other planets apart from Earth, which have life on them. Nobody has found any proof of other living creatures such as humans, animals, aliens etc. on any other planets. One of the reasons Earth is so special, is because we can live on it! For example, our planet has water (in which life forms as we know them) cannot live without. Earth also has a special atmosphere that gives us a climate that isn’t too hot or too cold. As we are conveniently located meaning we get the perfect amount of warmth, light and energy from the sun. Whilst some of the other planets we have been able to study, do have some of those features. But none however, have been found to have the combinations that scientists believe would be necessary to support the forms of life in general. Scientists will continue trying to understand what qualities are necessary for planets to support life forms. Earth is one of a kind, which is why it is so important to take care of our planet. “At present, Earth is the only example we have of a planet with life. If we learned the planet would be habitable for a set period and that we had evolved early in this period, then even with a sample of one, we’d suspect that evolution from simple to complex and intelligent life was quite likely to occur. By contrast, we now believe that we evolved late in the habitable period, and this suggests that our evolution is rather unlikely. In fact, the timing of events is consistent with it being very rare indeed.” Said Prof. Watson. Citizens around the world stated their thoughts on what they think is among our unknown knowledge about living things outside of earth. Those that have confirmed to yes there is
