When the Europeans set sail to America they were expecting a life better than they left behind. In the colonies, tension was growing. Two events that clearly show these tensions are theSalem Witchcraft trials in 1692 and the Stono Rebellion in 1793. These tensions grew fromunsettled things in the colonies. Socially, slaves were bottom the class pyramid and were treated bad and this caused them to revolt.
The civil war began in the 1970’s. The civil war was based on displeasure of a poor economy and an exploitive dictatorship. The War was between the right-wing Nationalist Republican Alliance party and the Leftist anti-government guerilla units. The United States supported the Nationalist Republican Alliance party. The United States aided the army and believed they were trying to help establish human rights to the Salvadoran people.
This became a huge issue of propaganda for the Union. Gen. Forrest was blamed for being a murderer and ignoring the rules of surrender. After thorough research it is learned that the accusations about Gen. Forrest were false. The 1500 men under General Forrest acted only as men and as soldiers in their capture of Fort Pillow. According to Turtledove, in 1861 the Confederate Army built a fort and named it after Gen. Pillow (57).
To support his thesis Percy employs that there was numerous measures taken by the government to disrupt the Black Panther Party. In 1966 Black people did not have the rights white people had black people had to overcome so many obstacles to get where they are today. The Administrations Propaganda War against the Panthers Making the Political Criminal is basically about the White House having an Enemies list made up by the office of the Nixon administration this list contained political parties and organizations such as the Black Panther Party. The White House Administration was basically trying to sabotage their political enemies’ ones such as the Black Panther Party. The Superagency Approach to Crushing Dissent is involving the Federal Law Enforcement Agencies trying to accuse the Black Panther Party of illegal crimes and using narcotics, especially Newton.
He argued that “modern civilization hit ignorance of the masses through the means of popular education. One type of response to the Great depression was the rise of a militaristic dictatorship. This type of response could be found in various countries such as Argentina and in many countries in Central America. Other Western industrialized countries cut back on the purchase of raw materials such as coffee, cotton, rubber, tin, and other chattel. This collapse in raw material resulted in social unrest or violent behavior led to the installation of military dictatorships that promised to maintain
The My Lai massacre took place on March 16th 1968. My Lai was a small village. A Platoon commanded by Lieutenant William Calley was told to find and execute members of the Vietcong. Except the village which was full of children and elderly women. Calley ordered everyone to be executed.
We currently have a black president and we are on the verge of an economic depression. Currently in America, we are facing foreclosures, job losses due to budget cuts, poverty, etc. This is a perfect fire starter for hate and patriot-militia movements. These groups thrive off of the distaste for American government and utilize this as a basis for their hate-motivated groups.
