Fashion seems to be something people can’t live without, a way of gaining business and a way of showing entertainment. When one says fashion a lot of clothing line comes to mind such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister co, or even forever 21. These stores advertise themself in ways that attract most teens. Teenagers are now a day’s main target to sell things too. At such a young age the only thing to attract a teenage boy is a half-naked female model or a half-naked male model for young girls. These sorts of advertisements is what keeps Abercrombie around, it’s what gives me them “fame”. Though Abercrombie had its rising moments, it did not last forever. Smaller companied are starting to come higher than them, this now becomes a challenge and way or how to get themselves out there again. It seems clever to somehow get a celebrity involve, what’s hotter right now than fashion? Jersey shore. Albeit they get credit and fame from doing absolute nothing but being themselves, they are the most trending topic around. Abercrombie is clever to start a “feud” with mike the situation sorrentino; he is one of the most popular cast members in the jersey shore. But why take Abercrombie’s side? They are contradicting to what they stand. They say “We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image.” (Hollywood Gossipz) Looking back at how Abercrombie and Fitch advertise themselves I’d say mike is an alright if not better fit to represent them. In the picture above, mike does not even seem to “damage” their image. Mike is simply just going in the store and out wearing green sweat pants that show an A&F logo on it, he is not at all showing his body like most of their models do.
