A teen should not have to face depression at such a young age. Then again, by becoming more independent learners through homework, the average students will demonstration an improvement in their grades. Students that habitually do their homework can expect to have greater test scores and also higher class grades. This is because students are taking time to develop their understanding of skills and concepts through practice and self-understanding. As you can see, there are pros and cons about homework.

Teachers use rubrics to assess students, they make it much easier, more consistent, and objective. They also help teachers focus better on key concepts. By making a work model (rubric) for students to use students will be able to improve and increase knowledge students will acquire. Teacher can better justify student grades by using a rubric that clearly shows where the student rates according to the rubric.
College is all about multitasking. Personal planners, whether paper or electronic, can really help students balance homework, due dates and exams. One should try to get homework done early, thus reducing the stress procrastination can bring. The Internet is a tool that can help greatly with this, and users can find a myriad of different types of organizers there to help keep track of assignments and classes. Another important element is for each individual student to find their own best method of studying.

Homework; the Gateway to Succeeding. Homework is the key to success. It is something that must be done in life. Although many people complain about extra work, it is beneficial to them to do it. Homework is helpful because it trains students and adults in the subject one is studying or learning.
The book is pretty much a modified version of the principal that he has made to fit the lives of the readers. It turns the average, hard working person into what is known as the “new rich”. I believe the book was helpful in the sense that I learned how to prioritize my goals and objectives. It helps with school just as much as with a career. The principle has helped me to decide what to accomplish in the order of value to my grade.
Techniques such as annotating, asking questions that pertain to the reading and using acronyms can be used to aid myself when reading. Techniques should not be hindering me to read. Especially since there is a lot of reading, having the ability to color coat my reading can be extremely beneficial especially when reviewing before an exam. However, If I do not implement any techniques the only person I am hurting is myself. The “Engage College Reading” text book is giving me tools so I can be successful throughout my college
Even if the lesson isn’t even difficult, teachers do indeed deserve respect for what they do. What they are teaching can very much be what you need to get that one extra point on a test to pass the class. They are there to help you succeed. If you’d rather be on your device than listen to the teacher, you don’t deserve to be in the classroom. While some teachers despise cell phone use, others let students use them to enhance a lesson.

For a lead-in, I would show pictures of jewellery to the students, ask them to imagine that is theirs and to discuss with a partner where in their house they would store it to keep it safe.
This does not take away from instructional time. I have less interruptions and students’ do better work, as a result. During math classes, my biggest motivator is seeing students doing their best work and possessing the capability to explain the steps to their answers. Encouragement and giving the students examples of when I have felt like giving up, helps them. The students and I compare what they did not understand before with what they understand now.
