This has resulted in more services being needed to support the continually ageing population. This is a problem due to the amount of finance needed to support them on this scale, meaning there is less money for other sectors such as education. As people are living longer, this care is required for longer, which causes the dependency ratio the rise. The dependency ratio is the relationship between the proportion of the population who are working and those who are dependent or not working. As the ageing population continues to grow, the dependency ratio will continue to rise and there the ratio of workers to dependents in unbalanced.
MEX Progress Paradox: How Life gets better while people feel worse was a book written by Greg Easterbrook. The book was featured in the Time Magazine for his excellence in writing it. In his book, Easterbrook explains how we have more advanced technology, more freedom, and the highest standard of living in America, but we are still not satisfied and feel worse as the years pass by. One constant theme in The Progress Paradox is no matter what we have, we always want more. When buy things, it may satisfy you for a while, but eventually you will want more.
People are living longer and working towards setting and reaching personal goals, traveling, establishing careers, stabilizing finances, becoming more educated and building relationships. The social clock to hurry to get married and have children no longer ticks as loudly as it did generations ago (Berger, 2011). Expectations of adulthood have changed and the decision to wait on having children later in life is becoming a preferred route to take (Rowan, 2012). Middle adulthood brings much strength to the realm of parenting including, experience, established relationships and emotional stability. Conversely, there are challenges to be faced in delaying parenthood such as loss of energy, the age gap, and the stigma of societal perceptions (Tips for Parents, n.d.).

Still, nobody is sure if longer hours at school will result in better grades. To sum up, this might be too expensive for the taxpayers. On the other hand, some people think that kids should have longer school hours. They think that if kids have longer school hours they would get better grades. President Obama agrees with it.
It is better to try and fail then to never try at all. I think that this quote means that sometimes in life we have to try things several times before we actually succeed, you might feel humiliated and just want to give up but you don’t you just keep trying. It might not come to you in a day maybe not even a week but eventually if you just keep trying you will succeed, and when you finally do succeed you appreciate success much more than if it had come so easily. I have had to try things over and over before I got it right. For example, math is very hard for me, I need lots of help, so when I am doing math homework I have to always double check my work and when I can look in the back of the book to see if Im correct it helps and I feel really good when I get the correct answer, also when I am at cheer I practice my tumbling, and when I finally land it properly after many attempts it makes me feel so happy and it feels really good to know that I didn't give up, even though it took me many try’s.
