Introduction A. Background of the Study Nowadays many people are focusing on creating medicine using herbal plants. One example of this kind of herbal plant is guava plant. Based on the research this plant is good for treating wounds and skin infections. The researchers will create soap out of guava plant so that people don’t have to boil water with guava leaves to get the extract for wounds or skin infections. This herbal plant has more capability than it looks. The leaf of this plant looks small but it can do many things that can make your skin look good. The researchers would want people to handle easily not just treating their wounds and skin disorder but also killing bacteria, fungi and yeast in your skin and many more. Boiling takes time while soap is easy to apply for everyday use. B. Statement of the Problem The researchers aim to produce a bar of soap made of guava leaves. Guava leaves are very safe to use. Because guava leaves speeds up the healing process and relieves pain in wounds and sores, it also has an anti-allergic effect and can inhibit the release of histamine. Guava leaves have 5 times more vitamin c which makes the speeding of the healing process goes fast. Questions: 1. How fast can the guava soap speed up the healing process of the wounds? 2. Are the materials used safe and affordable? 3. What are the vitamins contained in the leaves and what are the vitamin’s functions? 4. Is it hard and time consuming to make? 5.
