Describe the duties and responsibilities of own role
“My responsibilities are to assist in individualised care under the supervision of qualified nurse and others in the health care profession and also work in a co-operative manner, and to recognise and respect their contribution within the care team.
My duties of my work role would be: * enabling clients to eat and drink * clients to access and use toilets * enabling clients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance * enabling to maintain and improve mobility * contributing to the health, safety and security of individuals and their environment * enabling clients to achieve physical comfort * promoting equality for all individuals * respecting and maintaining patients privacy and dignity at all times * contributing to the on-going support of client and other significant to them * Contributing to the protection of individuals from abuse maintaining and reporting accurate records under supervision. * Ensuring all patients are nursed in a manner that will comply with infection control standards * adhering to trust policies and procedures and being familiar with the location of current files, taking part in the transfer of patients both within and outside the trust * Making sure the ward is clean and tidy.

Identify standards that influence the way the role is carried out?
There are many standards that are put to ensure that my role is carried out these include codes of practises like “the principles of nursing practice” which is put in place by the royal college of nursing. These are 8 guidelines that ensure both service provider and service users requirements are met and care is provided
