T h i s p a p e r w i l l r e f e r t o i t a s Holistic and will inform the readers to become better patients and/or healthcare professionals. This is an introduction to Holistic medicine. Holistic 3 M e r r i a m - W e b s t e r , 2 0 1 0 d e f i n e s h o l i s t i c a s r elating to, or concerned with wholes, or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts. Holistic medicine attempts to treat both the mind and the body. Holistic ecology views humans and the environment as a single system. Holistic medicine has many beginnings and practices, from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TMC), Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and other less complicated like Acupuncture, Massage and Chiropractic. All this practices use different diagnosis and treatments but they all use the same philosophies, treat the patient not the disease, and treat the patient as a whole not parts. This paper will summarize the different practices and will explain some of the methodology involved with the practices. Most of these practices have their own cultural history ingrained in their methodologies so at times it might seem archaic to western mines but think about how old this practices are, how long they been in practice and the ratio of effectiveness.
