1. I think Nederlander Concerts does compete with TV, movies, CDs, DVDs, streaming videos, and sports events. Even though Nederlander Concerts is a well-established business in an area that has a high demand for famous artists, technology has made it possible to listen to new music in the comfort of your own home without paying an outrageous amount. Nederlander has to compete with today’s technology, and sporting events now have many famous artists perform at their games so it’s like buying one ticket for two shows. Nederlander should focus on advertising through specific media channels such as YouTube, and iTunes. I think overall, the area Nederlander Concerts is established in will always bring them a good profit if they continue to supply their audience with a once in a lifetime concert experience that creates an intimate feeling between the artist, and the audience. 2. According to what I read, the ultimate objective of every business must be to satisfy the needs of its customers. So from my opinion Nederlander must first supply the needs of the younger generation. They demand the most entertainment. Next it should focus on the group of people who can afford to pay for a high priced ticket. Lastly, because Nederlander is a service business it should focus on the groups that help generate income. 3. Example 1: For every show that is performed Nederlander must incorporate allot of electricity for lights, sound, instruments, and refreshment stands. There are many ways to use natural/land resources to benefit saving money, and helping the environment. If they have established places where they repeatedly have concerts they should incorporate solar or wind power to generate energy in a large building. Example 2: For Labor, Nederlander has set up many teams such as a marketing team, a general manager of the building, and they have built a substantial team of
