5 Interview Questions Questions for my last job as a director of a day care center 1. What is your experience in Early Childhood Education? a. I would need to hear about what experiences they have in child care. This is not a job for everyone. b. It is important to know what age’s people have worked with to best place them. 2. What would you do if your class was not on schedule with your daily lesson plans? a. It is very important to be flexible in the classroom and it is the norm to not be on schedule. b. You have to go with the flow of the children when it comes to questions they ask or what they are learning. 3. How would you handle a difficult situation with a co-worker? a. Generally it is all females that work in the child care setting. Personalities can clash b. It is important to have a team atmosphere and people will be teaching in the same classroom. 4. Describe how you would handle a parent who is upset because another child hurt her child? a. It is important to not give the names of any other children and to focus on the parent’s child not the child who did the hurting. b. Parents can be very upset when their child is hurt. They are the clients and they trust us with their most precious person in their lives. 5. How would you discipline a toddler, two year old, three year old and a pre-k child? a. There are very specific rules in discipline when it comes to child care regulations. b.
